Lesson learned.. 2 years ago, i was living at a buddys house for aprrox 4 months.. during that time i had a plant/cichlid tank. Everything was great.. gold calvus, RED EMPRESS, royal+ golden spot pleco, couple loaches,chinese algae eaters n my fav. synodontis catfish... anyways i had moved out and asked my roomate to please turn on/off the light when you leave/come home from work and if you can feed them once a day. Well.. 1 month passes by.. i come back to pick up the tank and it turns out, he took my light to put it to use for his(plant tank) and did not feed any of my fish. yes all my fish/plants died.
WOW what a friend right?
known since childhood..since then i've been tramatized and havent looked back at fish. Well there are those occasional stare downs at walmart at their little fish department .. but yes.. yeah i know i shouldn't have relied on my friend to look after the fish but what the heck.. was that too much to ask for?.. turn on/off the light and feed'm once a day..ANYWAYS.. i have my own place now w/ my wife and started up a fresh 80g tank.. we'll see how that goes! wish me luck(and i dont mean luck w/ the fish tank xP)
