Hey all,

I have had my tank a good 8 months now and am ADDICTED to this hobby....i currently have a 30 gallon tank with
2 fully grown (3-4") Giant Danios,
1 Mossy Green Tiger Barb-still growing (only 1-1.5")
1 Albino Tiger Barb whom is the same size.
1 Rosy Barb -no idea on growth scale--(2.5")
1 peppered cory cat, who was labeled as a san juan, but i'm almost positive he is peppered...unless thats just another name. He's just a little guy just over an inch, maybe..
1 Clown Pleco who is about 3 and a half inches..
3 Ghost shrimp

I was wondering what else i could get for this tank without it being overly populated..i've read and heard that its about an inch of fish per gallon...but i have been scared to overdo it...Also i have a nice size piece of driftwood, and a slate cave i've made.. so i was always concerned of space being a problem..

I just transferred my 3 ghost shrimp from a 20-25 gallon tank, i'm not quite sure what it is..leaning more towards the 20 gallon..BUT anyways, i was wondering what you guys would recommend for this size tank...that is somewhat low maintenance, and not extremely costly..that won't outgrow the tank.....If you have any questions, about it ill post as quick as i can..

Freshwater only though lol please and thanks.

Your two tiger barbs are probably feeling lonely; you may add some tiger barbs to create a real school. In my experience, 12 adults tiger barbs (puntius tetrazona) in a 30 gallons is the maximum stocking density for long time health since they are big pollutors and don't do well with large water changes. They also may eat everything you try to feed the pleco.

so if i get 10 more tiger barbs, would my tank be fully stocked...meaning i would have no more room for danios/shrimp/plecos/corys...? or does that mean i could afford to have 12 tiger barbs, plus my current fish?
