20 Gal with Tetras, Barbs and Cory...what plants?

Right now I have some swords that aren't doing too well. And the fish really seem to like the plans. I was wondering what some smaller plants I could get to throw in that are pretty hard, and some stuff that may act as somewhat of a carpet (real short stuff) I just have standard lighting

first off we need to know what light you have caz that will decide what plants will be ok in the tank. have you read the stickies? if not i would read those they help alot.

For carpeting plants, you will have an option between cryptocornes or anubias. You have a VERY low light setup with a standard fluorescent bulb. Stick to the lowest light plants: anubias, crypts, aponogetons, java ferns, java moss.
