I'm looking to stock my recently cycled 20 Long with a school of tetras. I want to create a scaled down piranha effect. The tetra must be commonly available and live out their lives in the 20 long. Any suggestion are greatly appreciated.
If u want a look alike piranha u could try baby silver dollars... Not a tetra and they would outgrow 20 gallon but i really do not understand you question... Try prestilla tetras or bleeding heart tetras maybe...
I would go with a big group of Buenos Aires tetra (Hyphessobrycon anisitsi) they really have a great "monster" look to them with that classic shaped mouth.
Exodons are the smallest thing you can get that behaves like a piranha. Think of them as a mini pirahna. They stay small enough to be kept in a 20 long .... i think
I've ruled out exodon. They're not locally available. For those of you who didn't understand my question: I want a shoal of tetras that can live out their entire life in my 20 Long. They don't need to be as aggressive as exos. I do want a solid feeding response though. Thanks again guys and gals
