2" long shell dwellers, now just listed as lamprologus stappersi, here is a picture of a male by R. Hansson

nice looking fish never seen any like that before..

I just picked up 6 youngsters to grow in a 20l really fun fish to watch really busy with digging and territory battles all the time might still find them as l. meliagris

Ive heard there sweet fish, but ive never seen them available for sale anywhere around my house. Ive also heard that they are kind of expensive. What price range can I expect, and will they tear other fish apart, similar to pirahnas?

I paid 6 bucks a piece for my exodons..............I've seen them go for as little as $4 and up to $10 a piece............so no not that expensive........also have never had one die since i stared the tank over a year ago. ...........they dont really "tear" other fish apart, they are scale eaters........but mine can put down some good sized rosey reds.......and guppies are gone in seconds.........they are what i like to call attention deficit disorder fish, always moving.............

convict breeder, food for ]v[onsters

I might have to look for some exodons, and if i cant find those then Ill look for some of those little shell dwellers!

i would suggest doing a brakish puffer tank. i have 2 figure 8 puffers in my 20 gallon and there really cool to watch. expecially when you feed them Whole gold fish and they tear them apart! Very cool. even try to get a male and a female and breed.

WOW! That sounds sweet! I want something like a pirhana that that will tear stuff up. I love pirhanas but I dont have a tank for them right now...

Ill probably end up getting exodons, if I can find them. Ive never seen them for sale in any of my lfs's. Anyone know where I can get some?
