20 gallon

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Look man, I did not feel like saying this in any of your first 10,000 posts but you need to shut the hell up about your damn 12/20 gallon tank. People give you tons of suggestions and all of them go ignored, there is nothing "aggressive" you can stick in a damn 20 gallon tank. Relax and shut the **** up, will ya?

I think that you could have up to 3 redbellies in a 20g for a about 6 months or until they get over 3". Or you can have one rhom in there. Make sure the rhom is very small. About 1.5" should be ok for a while. rhoms grow very slow.

Piranha-wise, I was told that you can use a 20g as a grow out tank until, like stated before, they are about 3" each.
I was also told that a 20g long would be a suitable for a singleton, but was also forewarned that a singleton will be very shy and it's not recommended to keep any less than 3 at a time.
1 will be timid, 2 will compete and will end up in the death of one or both of the fish, but 3 can be a community and great fun.

I would say that you should be able to house 3 adult rb's for life in a 55g. assuming they grow up together in it.

Yea, also something else I was told -
If you're going to get a shoal of Piranha, you have to get them together. If you get one to put in your 20 gallon, and decide to upgrade later, do NOT introduce new ones.
I'm just giving advice I was given when i started a piranha tank.
