For Sale: pseudopimelodus cephalosilurus apurensis $175 SoCal 91306 San Fernando Valley, Pick up only. A female of the species, raised from 5" to 20" in 2 1/2 years, she's outgrown the confines of a 60G bowfront tank, looking for a good home in a 200G or larger tank. Maximum size for these fish is around 24", she'll likely grow about an inch a year from now on. Raised mostly on feeder goldfish but now also eats nightcrawlers, silversides, bonito, striped bass, albacore and tilapia fillets and likely other items I've yet to try. She is becoming more interactive lately and can be touched and hand fed. Most often they are kept alone but others have kept them with other fish of similar size with no problems. There's really good info on the species to be found on ScotCat in the articles section and on PlanetCatfish as well. Here's some pic's........

man you still havnt sold her yet....its a really nice cat and a awesome deal if I still lived in cali id be all over that...good luck with the sale

Thanks for the above, yeah I can't believe someone hasn't jumped on this either, before the economy tanked this would have sold for several hundred $ but for now, at this price, it's a bargain. A 5" specimen of this somewhat rare species will set you back $125 plus shipping, if you can find one. This one being one of the coolest big cats I've ever raised I would buy her a huge tank in a heartbeat if only there was room for one. Those who may have not seen my previous expired thread in this forum (currently on pg. 6) please check it out for more pic's, comments and feedback. I want anyone considering this fish to be well informed and know what to expect, feel free to ask any questions not previously addressed, just lookin' for a good home and some more room for her to swim...
