20 Long Filtration

Hey everyone,

I'm setting up a bare bottom 20 long to breed bristlenose plecos and cherry shrimp. Thinking about the different filtration setups below. Which would you go with or would you do something totally different? The decor i'm thinking about at the moment is a fair amount of driftwood with live plants attached. Also if I end up doing substrate it will likely be sand.

1. Eheim 2211 with stock media
2. Eheim 2211 modded with Purigen like in this vid (not my video): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3nMTTh0nHMk
3. 2x AC 50's and Koralia nano that kicks on twice a day to keep the bottom clean
4. Something else (please explain)

for breeding I would do 1 ac50(or 70) with a sponge on the intake and I would run a sponge filter on an air pump.....bare bottom or a little sand....

Thanks for the reply, sponge filter is not a bad idea. Any other suggestions/ideas out there?
