Here are two pics I got from a friend of mine, Troy or Stone Like Fish. Sadly he can't post pics so he asked me to do so.

It's a wild 20" red belly black snake, wich I think is a very awesome and beautifull snake.

Heya guys, thanks for posting the pictures Koen. Thats just a little RBBS found last time i went fossicking. They're my favourite snakes, biggest i've seen in my trips so far was about 5' long, they get to about 6' 8". This one was found where i knew they would be, in a dry creek there was only one small patch of water left (about 20' x 10') and sure enough there was a RBBS. Decided to get some pics using my freinds camera (forgot mine damn). Second picture was taken about 16-18" away from the snake. They're not aggressive and my mum hates me getting so close (classic fear of snakes). But the ammount of times i've been within 1' of them and they have never struck is a pretty good indication of how placid they are.

haha, not when compared to the other ones that are around, eastern browns and so on! They aren't very venomous compared to most elapid australian snakes
