Hi, I have a 4 tank waterfall system for sale or trade in OKC, oklahoma. It was formally a display/plant sale aquarium in a petsmart. They might have one in a store near you, but they don't make these for sale. I calculated the approximate volume of the tanks and they are as follows: 60 gallon on top, then 50, 40 and 30. The whole system is 6 feet long by 3 feet wide and about 5 1/2 feet tall, excluding a large lighting arm (this is detached in the pictures, but has wiring and holds two fixtures, used to be incandescent barrel-type fixtures but I've been adapting it to 2 4' T12 fixtures, included.). The whole tank will fit through a standard size door in pieces. The water falls down to the bottom from the last tank into an approximately 4' by 4' sump tank through a UV Sterilizer and a large box for activated carbon. You can use this as a refugium or fill it with bio filter media, etc. Water is pumped out of the tank by a little giant u62 pump and through a large lifeguard mechanical filter, them it comes out the top. The pump has an adjustable flow rate but when it is on full, it can spew water out the top about one foot over the water level, which is pretty impressive (looks like a fountain). All the filter systems are contained within the stand, which is large and made of metal. The sump tank is part of the stand.
FS best offer or Trade for a singe tank aquarium of approximately the same dimensions (about 280+ gallon, i'm talking at least a 6' tank, but the bigger the better) I don't want to sell this but I need to to get money for a tank for my 14" distichodus- hence the trade. This would make a stunning reef display or a great tank for breeding fish, which is what I was going to use it for. I've never had it set up as an aquarium, but I have had it full of water and I can assure you that everything works amazingly. The UV sterilizer just needs a new light bulb. I can sell the whole thing together but I'm also willing to sell it and the pumps seprately if you want the tank cheaper.
Pickup would be great, but I'm also willing to ship it UPS freight or I can deliver it myself. I've looked into ups freight and since its so heavy shipping will most likely run around $200.
This is a really stunning tank when its' set up, and you're not likely to find anything like this for sale, i'm sure it cost an arm and a leg to fabricate.
