200 Gallon NewB Help?!

Hey everyone im new here.. Getting a 84 X 24 X 24 this week think its 200 or 220 gallons.
Whats my best option for filteration? Fluval fx5 looks good but its like 250-300$ any cheaper suggestions? or is that the way it is? or maybe anyone know a cheap effective simple DIY?

Cheaper? You could rig a sump.

My 210 has a 75 gal sump a FX5 and a biowheel 350

i would hunt around for 2 fx5. you can find them for 150 on here sometimes. if not, i would rig up a sump with some rubbermaid tubs and DIY plumbing.

if you look on ebay you could possibly get a better deal on an FX5. you could do a sump, but in the end it'll most likely cost about the same as an FX5.

i personally would do an FX5 and 2 - 4 foam filters run off of either air pumps or powerheads or both.
