2000 Gal Plus For UK???

Are there any members from the UK with first hand experience of making and running indoor trop ponds (successfully and preferably for several years).
All tips would be welcome:

construction methods
materiels
fish kept/compatability
running costs

i specify UK due to availability of products, climate etc.

I wish i could say i had done it but not yet. However there is a bloke looking to rehome any unwanted fish on aquarist classified he has a 14ftx10ftx5ft (LxWxH) pond so if you email him im sure he would be willing to help.
