2000/gph Canister Filter w/ built-in 40watt UV

I saw this PondMaster P-4000 canister filter rated at 2000 gallons per hour + has a 40 watt built in UV sterilizer. Can it be used on an aquariums or is it strictly for pond use only? It's $599.00 at Petsmart.com but I saw it somewhere else for $435.00. The other site said it's rated at 4000 gph.

It's mechanical & biological so I'd guess yes, but it does not have a pump. It will handle up to the gph, but you need a pump to get to the gph. So...... A big pump that's internal would cause fishies to get sucked in, or cause a serious gravel empty spot, etc. Or you could go external pump in that case it's more money and louder.
I think it will end up being more expensive than say 2 FX5's from ebay.

Thanks for the reply. You're right. I think I'm doing ok with my FX5's and wet dry sump now. I was more curious than anything.
