hi, im looking at moving house soon which may mean i will have to have my tank upstairs its 200 g 7' x 2' x 2' its sits on a steel stand with a clip on wooden outside im just wondering if anyone knows if the upstairs floor would take the weight i live in the uk and the house is a new build, anyone got a similar setup upstairs?

even though its a new build and will NOT be as strong as old homes you should be fine. I am in Maryland, USA, and I am a structural designer (not engineer) which pretty much means I build new homes/additions/garages...on the computer to give people a vitual walk through(also handle permits and inspections which I have to make structural CAD Drawings). I do work hand in hand with Engineers, and in fact usually make all the structural drawings and they just stamp them. Just make sure that your stand is sturdy, has a running bottom (not legs) and run across several joists crossing them perpendicular (mispelled?). Also up against a wall of course. I reallty dont see there being a disaster.
