Hi everyone, I'm new to this forum but have been recommend by a friend to this site, so would appreciate your opinions on my situation. I have a 200L tank with the following stock:

1 blue acara
1 firemouth
1 festive
2 rainbow cichlids
1 senagal bicher
1 bristlenose pleco
1 feather fin
And I want to add
A convict a chocolate cichlid and a rocket gar I think that's what they are...also known as silver gar
Thank you louisa

Yeh go for it i would say, but keep an eye on them, and have another tank just in case **** goes down. Also then you would be fully stocked so would have do about 20/30 percent water changes per week i would say,
Good luck

As said I wouldn't add anything else chocolate cichlids get pretty big so would be unsuitable anyways and a convict would plunge your tank into chaos

Agree with concerns above. A relatively small tank like that is fertile grounds for aggression issues. I think I would not toss a convict or chocolate into that mix.

The other thing is that due to nitrates, this stocking you are asking about is not going to be the do a 50% water change every weekend sort of tank. This will more likely be a do a 75% water change every 3 days type of tank.

If that's not your plan and if you don't have an alternate way to reduce the nitrates, I'd recommend not adding anymore fish.

Welcome :)

You're completely fully stocked as is. I'd actually not consider adding any more fish at all, you'll be potentially running into issues as is so I'd try and manage what you have if you can
