2011 Spring fishing llol need Tips?

Hey guys! well slowly i am starting to learn how to fish different bodies of water because my grandfather passed away a few years ago and can no "longer teach me his ways". Lol since then i have been only castnetting and fishing mainly saltwater , so anyways do you guys/girls have any tips for me for fishing in a large lake that is conected to some small rivers in florida?

First of all those are nice bass..and its good to see a girl fishing. But also seen your in Florida which is one of the best places I know for the bass..try using Booyah buzzbaits, SPRO Bronzeye frogs, or do the classical texas rig worm and make it weedless. What is your main set-up?

currently im using the classical texas rig worm but ive been having problems with weeds and lily pads lol lost a nice bass because of one!
And thanks haha my guy friends love me because i get out there and go fishing or paintballing with them instead of shrieking if i touch a fish haha!

Lol yea girls who do guy things like fishing is cool..but are you in the military? But there is someone on youtube that I watch from Florida and he is a major bass guy..name is bassallyear

Where from florida are you? Im in the miami area and fish with my gf alot if youd like to come down one day youd be more than welcome and i could show you some spots...

As far as bait for Largemouth bass you CANNOT beat Gary Yamamoto Yamasenkos! In the red watermelon seed color

I like using braid (8-30 lb mainline) depending on the cover that im fishing... IF heavy weeds 30, just sand 8, and so on.
For leader use 10-20 lb mono or fluorocarbon and use a worm hook. You do not need to use a sinker with the yamasenkos as they have a good falling action.

lol im in the tampa area haha i would love to but its a veryyyyyy long drive lol!
and lol I LOVE yamasenkos!! are the red ones better then the green?

and thanks for the tips on using a braid lol i am getting so frustrated with the weeds haha
