Bit of a setback today...
I was moving along with my plan, took the tank outside, painted and drilled it for overflow, built the new stand halfway, brought it back in and was beginning the precarious process of getting the tank back onto the stand. I'm usually always working solo on this stuff, so I utilize a jack-and-block method for getting heavy bulky tanks onto 42" high stands. When I get the tanks center even with the top of the stand I simply tip the tank, do my best to keep it balanced, and hinge it down onto the stand. Warning: strong back required.

Anyways, while I was "jacking" the tank up, I knocked one of the braces inward. Apparently the silicone job wasn't too good there and the other side gave way almost immediately, tumbling and shattering upon what would be the front end of this now peninsula tank.
I fully expected the panel to be cracked, but after cleaning it up and inspecting it, there appears to be only a small gouge to the inside of the panel with no radiating cracks. Besides a couple of other scratches it appears the brace took most of the impact.
I don't think the panel is compromised, but I am going to attach a full brace to the top to be on the safe side and monitor it closely moving forward.

Besides that I did some scaping in the river tank.
