Hey guys, this is my first post here.

Here are a few photos of my current project. No fish in it yet, but the setup is:

2x T8 32w daylight tubes at 6000k
2x Aqua One Aquis CF1200 cannister filters
1x Hailea BT1000 internal filter filled with peat moss and indian almond leaves
2x 300W Eheim heaters, running at 26C/79F

A couple shots as I was setting it up which show the size:

And the latest:

Stocking suggestions are welcome. :naughty:

I think oscars would look great in there! Couple blacks and albino ones anyway any fish would look good in there! Nice tank! But how is it considered Black water ? Never understood that...

Nice!

I have had a similar vision, but for a smaller tank...what kind of wood is that vertical stuff? What are the dimensions of the tank? Looks like a footprint that could handle a ray. Looks a lot bigger than 205 gallons, actually.

Black water is just a kind of water treatment. Which makes the water dark and merky to resemble water for fish from the amazon. Or other similiar river conditions and such. I love the stuff. Makes the fish feel more comfortable and a more natural enviroment

Im not sure of the demensions. Looks like a 6x3x18 or so. If it is I am a big solo or pair of fish guy. And would either put a jardini in there and let him have it. Or a pair of f1 festae and see if they would get along in there. Just because they happen to be one of my favorite right now i have never owned. Maybe a dedicated tank for a few spilos, or a group of mbuna would be very nice peacefull community i love the blue and black on them. Any route you go is a nice tank. I love the natural look with the black water treatment, sand, and simple round river rocks, the bamboo shoots are pretty cool in there if you can get the fish not to knock them all around. Subsribed. I love the euro braced tanks. I am surprised there isnt a built in over flow in there thow

actually blackwater is backwater pools off the main river. usually a habitat for discus, angels, tetras, etc. heavy tannins give it the name. no plants except for some floating. sand bottom with leaf litter and a lot of wood from fallen trees. great start to this tank and I agree that it's perfect for ray's, but it's not a blackwater tank.
