I've been looking into getting a california kingsnake for a while.

I am getting conflicting info in my research

is a 20G long ok for a male cali kingsnake in the long run?

if not, which other kingsnakes or milksnakes can i keep in there for life?

You will need a bigger tank than that. I've kept 2 in the past and at work we have a large one. In my opinion I would say you would need a tank at about 5ft for life. This will ensure your snake to thrive. I've not had any personal experience with other snakes other than the cali one. You might be able to house an albino king snake in there in the long run but don't take me word for it. You might just be better off getting a black corn snake or something like that.

I think a 20 long is fine for something like a cali king but it would certainly be tight and I would only keep one in it. You would probably be better off with a 55 for them though. If you want a smaller snake, look into sand boas and most milk snakes, they would all be fine in a 20L.
