I am trying to assemble this sump cheaply, I have picked up a used overflow box and a used Mag3 pump, I am buying a new 20G long tank.
My plan is to silicone in some acrilic dividers and use Ac110 sponges and pot scrubbies, I plan on using this as the main filter on my 125g tank It is filtered by 3 Ac110's at the moment .
I figure on getting aproximatley 2x - 3x turnover from the sump.
The 20G long is 30 inches long x 12 deep x 12 tall it is the largest foot print I can fit under my 125G, unless I buy 2 20G longs and drill them Hmm.
So if i estimate that I can get 300 gph at aproximatley a 4' head is the 20G tank big enough for a sump ? I am concerned it is not large enough . Or does it even matter how big the sump is as long as it does not overflow onto my floor ?
