Here's the scoop. I got this guy about a year ago or so at about 17in. About 6mon ago, i spoke to a fella calls himself chiefmojo and was told that he had sold this Dovii to this other fella and said it was a Jeff Rapps fish. This took place over 5yrs ago. Im not certain if its Costa Rican or Nicaraguan. I kept this fish alone in a 120gal for a while. When i introduced bigger fish (10-13in) to his tank, he would kill them. However, when i put him into my 190gal with other fish that were already in there, he didn't kill any of them. They are still all together today. It seems as long as there are fish in the tank before he gets introduced to it, it should be fine. If he's the sole resider in the tank and others are introduced, he will most likely kill them. He eats 5-7in smelt right from my hand. He will also eat pellets. This is probably one of my favorite fish. I would only sell him to someone with a HUGE tank. If he doesn't sell, i will NOT be disappointed at all.
