Hey I just got a 20 long from a buddy. I am looking for some different stocking ideas for it and I figured why not look into natives. What kind of fish can I catch in northern Michigan that I can keep in a 20 long for life?

Thanks in advance.
Lucas

Sticklebacks, dace, log perch and the like. I would go with mudminnows if you have a trap (or can get one).

fw sculpin!!!!!!!

i have a pond book that has a bunch of natives for small ponds in them, most can go in a 20L. i'll try and find it.

Sticklebacks and sculpin are definately sweet looking! I will have to find out where and how to catch them around here.

I'd really appreciate it. Thanks :)

if your looking for sculpins they are usually in really cold parts of a lake and usually when you find a spot where 1 is there will be alot. i use to catch them all the time with just night crawler and a small hook, or a fish net in shallow areas. i could never keep them alive for long in aquarium

rainbow darters
standard mosquitofish
bluegill if pond is big enough
sticklebacks (be careful, some are SW)
banded killifish
and the "native colored" goldfish
just to name a few
