so i have an empty 20L i have a bunch of liquid calcium, iodine, tech M, 5gallon bucket of salt mix etc.. i have a current pc light with 2 64watt one antic and other normal. i have everything minus live sand and live rock. what kind of set up could i have fish wise and coral? i have some experience with salt waty had a 6gal nano cube with some live sand and live rock with a damsel set up for a year. if i get a watchman goby what kind of other fish can i keep with it? also what type of shrimp are good with to have with watchman gobys?

Well there isnt much you can put in a 20 gal that will trive, gobies being one of the few. Some breeds of firefish are ok in that size, a jawfish would also work, ocellaris clowns have been known to work in 20s as well. I believe the shimp you would want to pair with the watchman would be a pistol shrimp (Alpheus sp.) though there may be others that I cannot think of off the top of my head.
I would recommend the watchman be the only fish in that tank...they are easy to shy out of the spotlight if they feel threatened. Had one in my 75g reef, and he rarely came out of his burrow.
With those lights you should be able to do softies, and some LPS and less demanding sps.
As far as pairing the shrimp and the fish, look for an already established pair in your LFS...or buy one that way from liveaquaria.com or a similar WYSIWYG (what you see is what you get) area on a fish website.
I would recommend Caribsea's reef grade aragonite as a substrate...its the best "reef" substrate you can buy in my mind, and live sand is just a rip off...your rock will cylce your tank for you when you get it.

im gonna need to pick up a master test kit for sw. where is the cheapest place online that sells them?
im probly gonna start setting up in about a week or so mayb sooner. another question should i use an ac30 or ac50 on it? also i 3 maxi jet power heads and a wave maker should i place one powerhead on each side of the tank?

im thinking about mayb just buying a 29gallon biocube found one with stand,tank, has a 150 metal halide HQI with 2x 14W T5 High Output Actinic also comes with the original hood but gutted out, it has the back made into a refugium with a light back there. its been running for only 6months and he wants 300 or best offer. would i be able to stock more fish in the biocube than the 20L
Live sand is still a rip...you should try and find something that looks similar and save yourself some money. I have no experience with nano cube systems...so good luck there.

i found a different tank that i might buy instead nanocube 24gallon been set up for a year or 2 has two onyx clownfish, around 15 hermit crabs, some live rock, and sand abunch of supplies for really good price so once i go take a look at if i like it i will most likely pick it up once i do i will post some pics up heres 2 pics that the owner sent me
