Hey guys! I've been a MFK lurker for a while and have finally decided to register. I've been wanting to build a 210 gallon tank for a while now. Dimensions of 84x24x24, but have a few questions.
1) Would it be okay to build the tank out of 10mm glass? I've done some research and have been told it would be fine.
2) If I do build it out of 10mm glass, how would you suggest I brace it?

Looking to try and buy the glass and have this done by the end of next month, including the stand.
Thanks in advance for any advice or suggestions! :D

10mm would be ok for 24" deep if braced appropriately. Google "aquarium glass thickness calculator", I can't post the link as I'm on my phone, you will be able to use that to work out the safety factor for your tank.

I looked it up, 10mm glass would give me a safety factor of 2.5.
As for bracing, I have seen euro bracing and cross braces. Although I'm not sure which would be better to use under these circumstances, does one more reliable than the other?

Anyone have experience or suggestions as to how I should brace the tank?
I was thinking about having a 3" wide piece of glass span the length of the front, back, and the sides, and having 2 braces across the top from front to back. Would this work?
