So I'm having trouble getting my 210 to clear up. I'm running a sponge right now, in addition to the dual overflow to sump. Roughly 50 gallons of water. New return pump should be here tomorrow, jecod 12000 with digital controller. Curious as to what size and brand air pump everyone recommends to run quietly while not sacrificing power. I'd like to run another 2-3 sponges and it'll have a solid 5ft of head to contend with. I was looking at alita brand. So who has a suggestion for me? Thanks in advance. 1490845004561-1999775950.jpg pic for attention, no air on ATM.

How new is the tank? i am going through something similar. I recently setup a 180 with 40 gallon sump. I had 2 full of bio media AC110 filters that i took all the media from and put into my sump, along with new media. i have 2 - 200 micron filter socks that overflow onto a 20 micron drip plate. I only have free floating debris after i feed. My water isnt crystal clear yet, i am going to let the whole tank mature for a couple months and it should clear up.

I installed a new return pump today, jecod dct 12000 lph. 3700 gph I think. Problem, over powered the wetdry outlet. Boom, water in the stand. All cleaned up now. Had to drill more outlets inside the stand with towels to catch debris. Seems fine now, put in gonna keep a close eye on it.
