210 looking kinda cloudy

well i recently switched out 2 magnum350s for an fx5..after a couple of weeks it is still kinda cloudy. i took all the bio material out of the old filter and put in the new.
so in the fx5 i have prefilter on top then old carbon and rings then i have bio max any ideas why its still cloudy there is also and emp 400 and power head any help greatly appreciated

Take out the old carbon..what material you using for a pre-filter? What are your water parms? Maybe put a 350 back on the tank with the micro filter pleated sleeve? GL

Cloudy as in milky or floating particulate matter, possible algae problem?

What's the lighting like?

Correct me if I am wrong but I was under the impression that the water flow in the fx5 is from bottom to top so wouldn't you want the prefilter in the bottom?
