I found a new 210 gallon w/ stand and canopy for $1400. My question in can anyone recomend a sump for me, the tank is already pre-drilled. Would It be easier to make my own sump? I want to put some oscars and a jack dempsey in it for now.

I would look for a better deal first, but thats me being cheap. If you have some basic tools/mechanical ability....make your own sump:)

how big of a sump do i need? I've never had to do a sump. I can get PVC and hoses cheap. The stand and canopy are cherry thats why the price is high.

I think a 55 gallon tank would work really well for a sump. I have a 75 gal sump on my 300 and it works great!

yeah dude. BUild it yourself. You can build one WAYYYYYYYYY bigger with the money your about to spend on that. But like rally said, I'm just cheap. :)

The fish I have are in my 55 i wanted to cycle the tank before I put them in. I could (have other fish) kill the convict babies in the 45 and use that. I want everything to fit under the stand if possible. what else would i need. can you link me to some sump picts.i could buy a complete 30 gallon sump w/ connections for $200. what would i put in the sump?
