Mamma's house
So I have a 210g set up. 6x2x2.5. I am having problems getting someone that can get my floors supported. The crawl space is dark. The entrance is clear across the house. And you get lost down there. I really do not want to leave this tank in the garage. Especially since I will be getting my dream fish. Is it ok to just set it up? If not anyone I can hire in Beaverton,Or or surrounding area to come support my floors pm me please if you can do the job.

OK, here's what you do:
Find two rags
Soak them in kerosene
Tie them around your ankles
This should keep the ants from crawling up your legs and biting your candy butt after you man up, find a flashlight and crawl under there and figure out how the floor is framed. SNARK :D
Alright , Just Kidding.

You should be able to find someone cheap on Cragslist. :)

Are you planing on putting this aginst an outside wall? If so then you are probably good to go. Near a beam and perpendicular to the floor joist is the strongest place.

You are looking at about 205 lbs per squar foot for just the tank full of water, aqueon says 2450lbs for a full tank and a 12 squar foot base.

but thats only if the stand has a full 12 foot square bottom, which it won't.

for pounds per square inch, you divide 2450 pounds by the contact surface area of the stand to the floor only.

irregardless, a 210g tank will need reinforcement of the wood flooring to prevent sagging over time.

you will need to support the floor some... less will need to be done on an outside wall, but being safe is better than being sorry... you should be able to find a handyman in the phone book or on craigslist... handymen can do pretty much what you need them to do... good luck

The lbs per square foot has little to do with supporting this tank. What matters is how many floor joists it will be sitting on. If only one or two joists, then it's not going to work. If it is sitting across 4-6 joists it will be fine.

My 180gal in my parents house sagged the floor 1/8" on a load bearing wall with hardwood joists. I had a 150gallon kiddie pool same spot but it was 6x6" and it sagged the floor a good 3/8"
