My buddy moved his 22 inch RTC about 2 weeks ago into its new 1100 gallon pool, and since then he has not eaten. Prior to this he would eat daily, anything you gave him. Pellets, live, hotdogs, anything at all that was dropped into his tank, including attempts at decorations that had to be removed. He appears to be fine, just not eating. We've tried everything again, market shrimp, pellets, live, hotdogs to no avail. Water temp is between 78-82 depending on the day and all perameters are fine.

Any advise or suggestions? Is this normal?

Can be normal. Catfish need to adjust to their new surroundings and it's normal for them to not eat for a while. He'll start eating soon. A catfish that big can easily go 2 months without eating but I doubt it will take that long.

I also moved mine of around the same size and had him refuse to eat. I think it was close to 2 weeks then for some reason he ate all 20 of the feeder goldfish in one night that I had used to get the tank cycling before putting him in. He ate fine every night after that.

Bichirs do the same thing, whenever I've moved a sen or ornate from tank to tank they usually will refuse food for a lil bit, I wouldn't be worried about it unless it reaches like a month to 2 months as was said they can survive for a while w/o food
