It's been forever since I've posted cuz I'm been out of commission. I cracked my 220 (which I worked so freakin' hard to repair!) when I was moving :( . I was removing the cracked side pane, and noticed that there'e a hairline crack in the adjacent pane! I'm very saddened. I did find a 100 already drilled for $75, which is a good score and I'll be setting it up next week, but I'm still pretty bummed. I'm hoping that my stepmother will be able to help me cut the glass on the 220 and I can make a 150 out of it. Anyone have any glass cutting advice. Yes, she has the proper tools, but any suggestions would be helpful.

Damn, that sucks. Thats always been one of my greatest fears, cracking a tank. Hope all works out for ya.

Take the tank to a glass shop.

I am fearing that your step-mother keeps her glass cutting tools in her sock drawer. That is the wrong tool to cut thick glass. Your tank needs to be cut with a diamond saw, not a scribe. Call up some glass shops to see who can do the work for you.

sorry to hear that.. hope you can get it spick and spack again.

Yea, I would have it professionally done. I even screw up cutting leucite so if I were you, I would not want to cut that glass yourself.
