I found a 220 for $350 and I was wondering if it is a good deal. Tank is 7 years old and it is glass. The only thing I am unsure of is the dimensions. IDK if I want those kind of dimensions. It is 96x18x30....

would make a good central/south american cichlid tank

I think I am going to pass. I am more into natives nowadays and that wouldn't do very good for most gars and panfish. I would rather have atleast 24" wide.

That is a really good price though. But 96" is a lot of inches in todays homes. It would make a great room divider.

Most gars won't do well in anything under 48" in depth (front to back). So, this tank would be fine for panfish. And, you won't find that price-per-gallon often nowadays. BTW, the dimensions put it closer to being a 225 than a 220.

Yea I noticed it was closer to a 225 but I figured with the inside dimensions it was closer to a 220. But yea I wouldn't keep a gar in anything under 24" for very long. I wouldn't keep a gar in a 24" tank for life anyways. I actually prefer pickerels and such to any native. My second one should be coming on Wed. or Thurs. So excited! I won't kill this one this time. I was an idiot with the first! Also I would rather have something bigger for my bass since he is going to get rather large. I am looking for my bass and bowfin mainly. They have a pond on backup though if I don't find anything.
