I am looking to start stocking my 220 that is being filtered by FX6. I was wanting to stock with 5x Bala Sharks, 6x Denison Barb, 5-7x clown loach, and 20x tigerbarb. I feel this may be overstocked. AQ advisor rates this at 134% stocked. What is the public opinion and should I add additional FX4/6?

Stock seems fine to me. Personally I would add a second cannister, might not be necessary but I prefer having 2 on bigger tanks .

I like the plan. Like pyru stated the loaches will take years to get large and even when full grown will not overstock the tank imo.

As far as filtration: If it is an option, install a sump. I fooled with canisters awhile but have recently switched to sumps on my tanks. Theres no comparison in performance, efficiency and ease of maintenance.

Looking like it may be a 180 gallon instead of 220. They guy I was getting the 220 has gone radio silent for over a week and my friend has a 180 he isnt using.
