I planning on setting up a betta tank above my 220 gallon tank and was wanting your thoughts on a few things;
First off the tank I plan to make will be 4'x1'x1' divided into 4 sections. It would hold just under 30 gallons of water, would my tank support the weight if I reinforced the hood?
I am planing on pumping water into the fighter tank with a filter in the 220 at a rate of about 150Lph and then having it trickle into the four section and the returning to the main tank, would there be any problems due to this other then potential carry of disease which can easily be controlled by shutting off the filter.
Do you guys have any suggestion that may help me alone the way and what do you think I should use a building materials, I am leaning toward glass as I have never used acrilic but glass would be heavier.

thanks for any help.
