I'm sure many are familiar with the makeshift stand pictured below but I was curious whether anyone has any experience using this on a larger scale of 7-8ft. I'm picking up a 220 gallon tank tomorrow so I'm urgently trying to build a temporary stand. I understand simple stress/force calculations, however i know there are other factors to account for in real world applications especially aquarium stands. Does the cinder block 2x4 stand properly distribute weight or are there inconsistencies that would cause a tank of this size to stress and eventually crack? I guess the flat plywood is supposed to solve this concern I'm just worried about the size difference in comparison to the original build I'm basing it on.
