Just a few shots of my recent build. Almost have it finished.
Sorry for some of the crappy cellphone shots.

2x4s and 3/4" ply.

After all this I then decided I need the 3.5" of space the bottom 2x4s were taking so I knocked them out and added a plywood bottom instead.

Skinned and front doors on.

Looks great how much $ in wood and materials?

Quick calculations in my head says just under $200 everything. That includes sandpaper and sanding belts, glue, screws and a new $40 blade for the chopsaw. The doors I got on the cheap at Habitat For Humanity's Re-store. (Damn I love that freakin place)LOL, and paint was free. My brother bought a new hose this year and found about 10 half gallon cans of paint in the basement. We just mixed 2 of the different greens till we came up with a color I thought was nice. Now after getting all the finished mouldings on and painted,(LOL) I've decided I'd like to make it a darker green. So hopefully tomorrow's coat of paint will be the last. Then I can get started on the DIY 3D background.

New tank for the stand.

What is a re-store? is that canadian for home improvement store?

LOL. No, it's Habitat For Humanity's store. They take in donated used building materials and sell them to help finance their operations. Ie: The building of homes for people in need. It's a great charity, and you can find some awesome deals on used, and sometimes new building materials. Everything you can think of, including the kitcher sink,LOL. I usualy check there before going to The Home Depot.
