well I finally got my drip system done. I am dripping 1gph roughly and I have controlled the drainage during a power outage with an asco powered open solenoid valve. Please ask any questions you may have. thanks

well given the distance I had to run the pipe to my basement ad the asco valve I've got about $150.00 in it. well worth the extra 3hrs a week!!
So the solenoid closes when the power goes out? Interesting idea. Any reason why you just didn't stick with the upper gravity overflow?
yup power outage and the valve closes. If I understand the concept of what you are referring that would mean I would have to have a second overflow for the drip system correct? If so I don't want the extra clutter in the tank. plus I don't have to worry about keeping the overflow tubes primed at the low flow rate.
