Hello Everyone,
I'm new to MFK, but I recently acquired 2 tanks (220 and 150g) with 3 canister filters (eheim 2215, and 2 Fluval 304's), and a protein skimmer (couldn't determine the name). Got them all for $375, but they appear to have been sitting for about a year. I'm in the process of doing research to set up the 220g.
I originally wanted to go with a sump, but since I have the canisters, was wondering if I could get some advice. Do you think the 3 could handle the workload of the 220g? I think it totals about 660gph between all 3 canisters.
Currently I have a FOWLR in a 50 gallon stocked with 4 damsels, cleaner wrasse, dogfaced puffer, snowflake moray, and clown trigger. I'd like to eventually move them over to a nice big home, but need to research before really setting it up.
I like the idea of posting a thread for the setup. I have to build a stand, setup the tank and let it cycle. Then I'll work on moving the fish in. They are currently very small, but the eel is growing fast. Any input would be appreciated. Thanks
Tim-
