i wanna set up a 220g tank into a shark tank. i have 4 fluval 405filters. its only freshwater now. what will i.need to set up salt water and what type of shark can live in 220g tank?

thanx

bala shark ;)
some rainbow sharks...
Isn't too many SW sharks i can think of that can be happily housed for life in 220 gallons

iwant salt water sharks. one of my old friends had a shark in a150g for4 years.it looked like a small great white but just grey and probly2.5' long
anyone know what that could have been?

how much do you know about saltwater fishkeeping?

nothing realy im just gatherin info then i will decide on whitch direction to go in stay with fresh water or go with salt water

dont start with sharks.

iwoul probably wait a while before getting a shark, i just want to know the posabilities for my 220g. what about an octopus? are there any possabilities of getting one of those in my tank?what type of requirements do they have i want a small one like a blue ring or somthing like that i know their very deadly but their so beautiful and i dont plan on cuddaling with it.

believe me an octo will seek up on you when you're maintaining the tank. their rings aren't alway shoing and the blend pretty well with their surrounding. they also live in tide pools so it's next to impossible to keep them in a correct environment.
if you want something BA, start with a lion, then get a grouper, then an eel, and THEN you should have attained all the nessicary info needed to keep sharks. a 220 only leaves you with one or two options (and that depends on who you talk to.)

what are the 2 options.

and do you know what knid of shark is abou 2-3" long all grey and looks like what ppl perceive to be your average looking shark?

west coast choppers had one in their shop i believe.

some kind of catshark (cant remember exact name)
and bamboo sharks
both are pretty dormant and about $400 i think

youre thinking of a black tip reef shark, WAY to big for a 220 at any age.
