So I have a line on a cheap ($200 or less cheap) 220g tank and stand deal. It just needs to be resealed (which I'm pretty good at). I am thinking of low balling the guy at $150, because he seems pretty anxious to get rid of it. I guess its just taking up space in his garage or something like that.

I know 220's are 72x30x24, but are they 30" front to back, or 30" top to bottom?

Also, obviously this would make a much better ray tank than a 125g tank, but how long would, say, a couple of Motoro's be able to stay in a tank this size? Would some Hystrix be able to stay for life? What about Yepezi?

Just trying to get a line on where I might stand if I get this tank.

Thanks,
Conner

I agree with above. You might be able to keep a pair of Motoros in there for 2 years depending on filtration and feeding.

Ok. My plans are to build a large plywood tank in the future anyways, so I guess I'll just wait until I get that started before I get any rays, I think. With the pbass and pike cichlid I'll have in this 125g, and the way the retic rays went, I'm gonna hold off on getting rays until I have a better setup for them, I think.
