ok, now that ive given away my fahaka, and soon to be gone aro, im ready for a change. so with those two gone, my current stock consist of

  • 2 RedHooks
  • 2 Tinfoil Barbs
  • 1 5-6" Ornate
  • 1 6" Tiretrack Eel
so the plan so far is to get some more polys :naughty:. take the pots and rocks out of the tank to keep the bottom completly open, get a few more fake plants for the surface (i SUCK at live plants :D)

so heres my question. i want an oddball tank, doesnt have to be actual oddball fish, but rather odd combos. so what can i do? i was thinking of loaches, payara, rays... etc.... i need some suggestions, but remember, i want more polys to begin with..

heres what im working with

How about South American, African and Asian mixed? Siamese Tiger Fish (Datnoid) mixed with larger SA/CA cichlids (Wolf cichlid, Paratilapia polleni, etc), Bigger Polypterus, etc?

Although I guess that kind of mixing is not too "odd ball" in the hobby, but for me I generally stick to Biotope setups, I try not to mix species from different countries/continents.

Why getting rid of the aro ? :(

I would keep the aro, replace the red hooks with black bars and add two more, replace the tinfoils with lemon tip barbs, add a del, and an endli.
