72x30x24" tank based on Lake Izabal in Guatemala. Inspiration was reading a report of how some fishermen catch cichlids in the lake... Low hanging fruit trees near the water's edge drop fruit in the water that some species feed on, so they throw rocks in the water to simulate this to attract fish and then net them. I imagined some rocks near the sandy shore with branches from the fruit trees falling into the water.
Unfortunately I could find no actual underwater pictures of the lake, that might have something to do with the reported bull sharks there that come in from the ocean.
Almost all the species in this tank are found in the lake. Just need a nice larger bocourti to finish the stocking... If you know of any big guys for sale let me know.
