Hi everyone, I am looking to buy a 225 gallon tank in the new future and was wondering if you could help me with some stocking ideas. I currently have a 12-14 inch Clown Knife in his own tank which will eventually get moved into the 225 and am interested in purchasing some Ornate or Delhezi Bichir's, and possibly a Fire or Tiretrack eel. At first when I bought the Knife I put him in with some medium size Silver Dollars and he beat them up pretty bad, do you think if I grow them out enough they could work together in the future? I'm also interested in getting some oddballs, SA or CA cichlids, any info or ideas will be greatly appreciated, thanks!

I’m definitely for a fire eel.

I’m not sure about the clown knife aggression. I’ve heard that they can be pretty terrible.

i imagine its going to be tough trying to introduce anything small to a 14" clown knife, even in a 225.

the bichir/eel/knife tank sounds really cool though if you can get them all to get along. wouldnt be a friendly tank for any silver dollars though im afraid.

if it were me, i would go with the clown knife, the tiretrack eel, and a redtail giant gourami. would be most impressive.

Thanks for the help! I’ll definitely have to do some more research on Redtail Giant Gourami’s.

Does anyone by chance know anything about Hujeta Gars/ Freshwater Barracuda? Im just worried about the knife killing everything- he is quite aggressive.
