Well it appears my latest find on craigslist may just be a little more work than I planned. I was curious who would you recommend in NC to reseal a 225 with 3/4 inch glass. Ive tackled a few myself on a smaller scale with advise from our fellow MFK's but this one is a little out of my range. It needs to be taken completly apart. Any suggestions?

I'm not sure if there any good, or what they charge, but fishworld in Raleigh Nc makes custom set ups, so I'm pretty sure they'd be able to do this for you. Might want to look into it.

Ok thanks for the info, Ive checked greensboro and charlotte seems that a lot of the custom builders arent insured to do reseals kinda strange.

Maybe someone could tell me how well they did on their own and I would have the gumption to try it for myself???

I haven't done a reseal at all, but looking online it doesn't seem to terrible. If you've done it with a smaller scale, I say you try it yourself. The worse that can happen is you loose some time, and are out a few bucks for the silicone. If it doesn't work, then you can find someone to pay to do it for you.

DO IT YOURSELF, the satisfaction of doing it yourself is worth it and i did my 110 gallon myself and all i did it take out the bottom panel and reseal everything, took me a weekend to fix.

If you've done a smaller tank, then you can do this one. The principal is the same, just a littlle wider bead of silicone

Start by cutting it all apart and cleaning it up.
You can work out the rest later.

If you gave the tank company 5 pieces of glass they would be building a new tank, not resealing.
