Ok I can see why ehiem had a large following. Love it but my spray bar us driving me crazy with the pressure of water, I thought I found a solution by taking the end cap off. My rainbows loved it a first but now stay away. Would there be a problem if I got another spray bar and added it to the one I have now. Figured that would slow pressure out of the spray

Which spray bar is it? Is it the green one? Be curious to see how much flow it is giving.
You can open the holes a tiny bit it will make a big difference. Or you can try the installation set 2 spray bar and extend it depending on how wide your tank is. It takes the set plus both sections of the extension kit for a 24" tank.

If you want to reduce pressure then enlarge the holes like Skurj proposed, but I guess you could add another spray bar but your tank has to be pretty wide.

it is the green one, not sure if that answers your question, I have it on the back of my tank and it is 6 ft, so I have the extra space, I have no electric drill, I will try to find one. the flow is hard core, I have it on the front of the tank on the right side. 24 in width and 30 in highth and it is hitting the back of tank and pushing the flow fast enough to move the sand to make it a bare bottom in that area

well don't you want that much pressure out from the spray bar since it can wash all the debris to one area so that the suction (Inlet Side) would suck them into the filter?? well best way is to limit the pressure if you want to is by adding second outlet spray bar parallel with the original one.. 1st spray bar take out the end cap then attach another section of the tubing to that end and make a U shape.. then other end attach another spray bar to lessen the pressure but this time since you took the end cap off reattach that end cap to the 2nd spray bar end.. see if that works.. hope you understand..

Just drill the holes larger. I've been doing that for years...

How long is that green spraybar? I have installation set2 on my 2262 which has a more powerful pump than yours and it doesn't bother the sand at all. I have the flow pointed along the surface of the tank aimed lengthwise. Oops that's a 6ftx2ftx2ft tank

Weird. I posted about the spraybar on my 2280 seeming weak. I have it mounted at tank top, and it flows out and barely reaches the front of the tank (only 16 inch deep tank). When my water level covers the spraybar you can't even tell its working, but I dont use sand anymore.

it may be also cause I under shot my media, in the 2260 I have 4 liters of pond matrix and abour 10 cut to circle blue pads fit inside. I noticed I could of added more media, but was out of cash and the canister had been setting in the floor for a month and I wanted it up. . the spray bar is maybe 18-20 in. What is installation set 2? also I get ya soupa except the U concept. No drill harley, I guess I just need to buy one. I am entering that adult phase :)
