Hello,
I am in the process of helping a friend just get some live rock and sand for his tank, its 8x2x2 ft tank. I told him that he is a fool to even try this setup not havent any experience in Reef aquariums/ Not reading what is needed skimmer/ro units/reactors/chiller ect.

So ive gotta do all the dirty work and help him out...
His problem is he has too much money and time on his hands...

So Far we have set up and over flow cut out, 100g sump, 20g refugium.
Pretty much told him to read up everything he can if anyone isnt aware of this site (www.reefkeeping.com) Get apart of it read up TOTM are unreal i have learned Heaps reading peoples setups and theories of things.

The BIG question is,,, How many kg will i need? Ill bulk order my live rock off (www.aussieaquariumcorals.com.au) its 10kg - $120AUD (Postage included) Really not bad seeing i WASTED $55 for 2.2kg at my LFS RIPOFF!!
Salt at my LFS is 20kg-$190AUD When online its 20kg-$134AUD

Oh With skimmers is overkill Bad for your tank?
If not ill get a:

Few probs about u.s sites they dont send to australia sucks ass but these guys might give me a quote on postage so thats all cool :D
Thanks again for your help Everything is AWESOME!!

I would go with 4 individual reflectors and ballasts then put two 48" T-5s on each the front and the back
I run my T-5's on an Icecap 660 so you get 86watts each instead of only 54.....
Look at LUMENBRIGHT reflectors
This of course is only if you have a hood over the tank!
Check out my "MY THINGIES" thread in the photo part of this forum..
I think there is pics of my light setup and stuff.

try bluezoo aquatics - google it... not bad shipping lol! (BTW WAIT UNTIL THE END OF A MONTH (ANY) AND THEY WILL GIVE SHIPPING UNDER $20!!!!!!!!!!)
