I have been putting together a setup for my 240 (96x18x30) for a while now. I have finally gotten around to building a canopy for it; however, I am now concerned about putting that much weight on the aquarium. I made the canopy out of pine trying to use 1x4s and pine planking where possible to reduce weight, but due to the design of the lids it is still pretty heavy. Does anyone have any clue how much weight could safely be put on my tank? Thanks for the help.
240 acrylic canopy weight?

Not exactly sure, but it is much heavier than 30 lbs. I think I will do some re-engineering so the canopy is supported by the stand instead of the tank. Thanks for the input.
