Been a while since I poste pics so here are some updates.

240 Gallon

Very few aggression issue if you can believe it. One issue I had was the two male hetero's tried to kill each other and nearly did. I have enough density that the agression is spread out so one single fish gets picked on too much.

Breidohri - Awsome fish, very colorful and out going. Got this guy from Fishfarm


Melanurus - My favorite. Very, very colorful fish. Got this guy from Rapps.




Female Festae - Wild festae from Rapps. Aswome fish.

Pearsi - Fishfarm pearsi starting to put on mass. Very mild fish.

Female Red Isletas - Hardest fish to photograph I own. Hates the camera.

Heterospilus Female - Would post pics of the males but they are a little chewed up at the moment.

Labridens "Blue" - From Fishfarm

Geo Brasiliensis - Only South American cichlid. Wonderful colors.

Rhino Pleco - Very large and majestic pleco.

Snyodontis Decorus - Super hyper fish. Nearly impossible to photograph.

Scobliancistrus sp L 368 - My favorite catfish. Only 4" long and the toughest fish in the tank.

F1 Peru Oscar - From Rapps. Fasting growing fish I have ever owned. Never gets enough to eat. Hyper aggressive.

Heckeli - What can I say. Stunning fish.

Red Heads - From Rapps. Very aggressive fish always fighting with each other.

Sajica - Got about 10 of these from Rapps and only 3 remain. Very poor quality fish IMO. Near 0 growth.

That's too bad about the Sajica, usually german stuff is good stuff when it comes to fish. That heckeli is outstanding. Any clear shots of the robertsoni? Looks to have a metric ton of blue to him.

Wow,you have some very nice fish. I'm with DP, that araichthys is beautiful and woulf love to see some more pics of the robertsoni as well. I'm surprised to hear you say the tapajos OH's are aggressive. Mine are always chacing each other as well and are about that same size. But I would not consider mine aggressive though.

Here are some pics of the Robertsoni. Awsome fish.

The red heads squabble all the time. They chase each other all day long. No damage is done, but they are quite fussy with each other.

I had 5 sajica from Rapps and lost them all over the course of two weeks. Very weak fish. One by one they'd go dark, start breathing fast and huddle in the corner till dead. Not the first instance of this either.

The melanurus is hot!

Great tanks and stock. Oscars are the fastest growing cichlid IMO. How big is your robertsoni? That is one of the nicest I've seen.

Robertsoni is around 7-8".

I have a 240gal also. MY oscars are the biggest beggars for food ever.
