Hey guys just thought I'd share my 240gal I've just gotten up and running. Grow outs are loving it!! Don't judge the silicone job haha was hard as is 2.5 ft deep pain to reach and could not be bothered to tape probs should have lol. Festae are starting to show some nice colours and for now aggression is pretty low. Great fish and pics! Tank is nice too. Great job building one on your own! I didn't even notice the silicone until the folks commented.

Thanks guys I'm happy as with how they are going. With my stock and tank size Im at the moment only running a small sump with a spinning arm on one side and the other I have removed to increase flow rate. Its got about 200 bio balls in the spinning arm section aswell as some marine pure spheres. In the water below the removed spinning arm is about 4 liters of matrix and in the section with the return pump I have about 3 liters of marine pure spheres. Both sections are covered by dacron filter material. Seems OK but I can only do about 3000 liters per hour. Should I be turning over a heap more? Water is clear and parameters seem OK. Would a 6 foot sump be better and how can I make it quiet as I have 2 holes drilled at the top of the tank that make a lot of noise what do you guys run on the big tanks? I have seen the fx6 but thought it would not hold enough media?
