I recently purchased a 240 g acrylic tank for my growing arowana.I will be setting it up over the next few months i have never been over 100g and i am in uncharted water as far as filter set up lighting heater etc.i am also building a stand and canopy any feedback tank is 8 by2by2.

Welcome to MFK, There are many members with a vast amount of experience here. So ask lots of questions. For lighting, as long as your not going planted and your building your own canopy...stick with shop lights from home depot you can get them for 8 bucks a each and they run 2 40watt lamps. If ya needed you could even run 4 fixtures. Makes for some cheap lighting.
