So I have a 150 gallon 4x2x30 with african cichlids. I just got a 240 6 x 2 x 30 that I was going to move said cichlids into. Being that the 150 isn't overstocked my thought is leaving it alone and putting something else in the 240. I won't be able to upgrade from the 240 for a few years, so what would be good in there long term? Since I have african cichlids already I'd like something else, so someone talk me out of an Oscar tank, or that's what it will end up being

Some ca/sa cichlids would be cool in that tank.and you could make a nice community out of it. Or a native tank, but im jot familiar with those
You could have a mild mannered American community with oscars, Gts, Severums, fire mouth, chocolate cichlids along with a school of silver dollars and a couple of nice catfish would look pretty awesome. Well that's what I'd do with a Killa sized tank like that anyways haha.
I like the responses and ideas, and I only say talk me out of an oscar tank because they're just so popular and it just seems like it's what so many other people have done. Don't take it the wrong way, I love oscars, it just seems really over done in the hobby.
